La Casa del Oso is an interpretation center to know and discover all the secrets of the bear and its environment. It is located in the town of Isil (Alt Àneu, Pallars Sobirà).

The center is located in Casa Sastrés, a building of traditional architecture of stone and slate architecture with four working floors and 258 m2 of total useful area. It is managed through an association of which the municipal decentralized entity of Isil and Alós and the FOP are part, participating through an agreement the Generalitat de Catalunya.

On the ground floor there is a reception, a shop with products related to the bear, the aforementioned park information point and a mini-cinema that shows a documentary with spectacular and high-quality images about the bear in the Pyrenees.

The first floor hosts an interactive exhibition on the life and conservation problems of the bear in the Pyrenees, in which conflicts are analyzed, the persecution to which the species was subjected until it almost led to its extermination, and the current efforts to ensure the coexistence between bears and humans, making their preservation an element of development.

The second floor is intended for temporary exhibitions linked to the territory: the first exhibition, carried out by Endesa, is entitled “The energy of water” and deals with life in aquatic ecosystems and their exploitation in the Lleida Pyrenees.

The third and last floor consists of a common space for the use of the neighbors and the realization of educational and informative activities related to the objectives of the Casa del Oso.
